Director of University Ministries

Central United Methodist Church of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is searching for an energetic, self-motivated leader with a passion for college students to start and develop a comprehensive university ministry. Central UMC is a 4,200 member, downtown congregation, located in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains in northwest Arkansas, just blocks from the University of Arkansas, a campus of over 24,000 students. The opportunity and resources are present to make a difference for Christ for a very long time. The right person must have a love for Christ and a deep understanding of the Gospel, along with a proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with college students in order to draw them to Christ. The Director will also be expected to create and maintain an ongoing leadership team consisting of college students and lay members. He/She must also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This is a full time position with competitive salary and benefits package.
