Confirmation

Confirmation is an ancient Christian rite whereby the church acknowledges that a child has reached the age when that child can assume responsibility for his or her own faith.

At Central, this 40-week class is open to students in the 6th grade or older wishing to be confirmed into the membership and life of the church. Students study basics of faith, church history, creeds and sacraments, and what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Confirmation also includes mission and service opportunities, field trips, and class fellowship activities.

At the close of the confirmation process, each child will be given the opportunity to commit, or recommit, to Jesus Christ and become members of the Central family.
