Acolytes

4th and 5th Grades

The acolyte is a fundamental part of Christian tradition and is an important ministry at Central. The presence of the light reminds us of Jesus’ coming into our world and into our lives. This light is carried into the worship service as a symbol of Jesus’ coming into the presence of the worshiping community. At the end of the service, the light is carried out into the world to show that Jesus is for all people everywhere. Acolytes assist with various elements of traditional worship services and are called to serve about 6 times per year. Registration is in September.
