Worship

Central features two styles of worship on Sunday mornings during four different services.

Contemporary Worship - contemp worship bandContemporary Worship Services

The contemporary worship services are held in the Great Hall of Central's Activities Center and feature praise and worship songs led by a live worship band, scripture, and a sermon preached from the stage. Audio/visual elements are also incorporated into the service.  Coffee and orange juice are available prior to the service. Holy Communion is typically served on the first Sunday of each month. There is no dress code, but members and guests will typically be dressed in either campus casual or business casual attire. Services are held at 9:40 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and typically last about one hour.

 

Sanctuary Choir - sanctuary choirTraditional Worship Services

Held in the main Sanctuary and include traditional hymns and music led by a choir and organ (with occasional use of piano, handbells, and instruments), affirmations, congregational responsive readings, scripture, and a sermon preached from the pulpit. Holy Communion is typically served on the first Sunday of each month. There is no dress code, but members and guests will typically be dressed in business casual or professional business attire.  Services are held at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and typically last about one hour.
