Planning Your Legacy
CUMC is in the process of developing a more formalized legacy planning program that that encourages our parishioners to develop wills, living wills, guardianship planning, trusts, and other estate planning documents as would be appropriate for each individual situation. The United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas (UMFA) has developed a wonderful program with tools and resources that are available to all local churches in Arkansas. In coordination with them, we have scheduled a free informational event for Friday, March 2nd at 11:30 a.m. that will be held in the Worship Center of the Student Ministries Building. Lunch will be provided to those who register to attend. Childcare is also available if needed. Following lunch, there will be a brief presentation and distribution of planning and informational resources by the UMFA vice-president of development, Janet Marshall, and local estate planning attorney Denton Woods of the Fayetteville law firm Reece Moore Pendergraft LLP. If you have questions about the event, please feel free to contact Brian Swain at or 479-442-1828. If you want to register online, click here. Space is limited for this event so we encourage you to act quickly! Registration ends February 29th.
